Set after centuries of civil unrest war on the planet of Huhui; the people of Sunlon City have fallen to the imperialistic Shan. In the first book in the trilogy, the Shan have imposed martial order and the Huhui have revolted. Miss Qi, a determined young girl, emerges as a rebel leader. With the help of her friends and Green Snake Brotherhood, she discovers that the leader of an ancient cult may be the key to the rebels' victory.

Originally published in Taiwan in three separate volumes under the titles: Five jade disks(1984), Defenders of the Dragon City (1986), and Tale of a feather (1996).
